2. Limited power imports from Mindanao due to the planned outages of GNPK 4, TSI 2, TMI Mobile2 - U2, and Pulangi 4 U2
A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission grid’s regulating requirement.
A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.

On October 17, 2026, as part of our continuing commitment to strengthen our Barangay Power Associations (BAPAs) and enhance the quality of service we provide to our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs), ILECO I conducted a BAPA Skills Training for BAPA meter readers and technicians at the Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School Covered Gymnasium, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
The training brought together meter readers and technicians from the BAPAs of Cabatuan, Maasin and Sta. Barabara and focused on strengthening their knowledge and technical skills in key areas, including:

🔹 Proper Fusing, Troubleshooting, and Disconnecting/Reconnecting of Fuse Cut-Out Assembly
🔹 Refresher Course on Disconnecting, Reconnecting, and Pulling Out Meters
🔹 Orientation on Gadget Meter Reading
Through this initiative, ILECO I aims to equip BAPA meter readers and technicians with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to perform their duties safely, efficiently, and accurately.
We also recognize the vital role of our BAPA partners in supporting reliable electric service within their respective communities. By continuously strengthening their capabilities, we help promote proper meter reading, safe technical practices, improved BAPA operations, and better service to our MCOs.
We extend our appreciation to all the BAPA meter readers and technicians who participated in the training, as well as to our resource persons and ILECO I personnel who generously shared their knowledge and expertise.

Relive the highlights of the 4th Leg of the Pole Top Rescue Lineworker Training, held on October 14–16, 2026, at the ILECO I Main Office in Namocon, Tigbauan, Iloilo, with the participation of six electric cooperatives in Region VI: ILECO I, CAPELCO, ANTECO, GUIMELCO, NOCECO, and NONECO.
Hosted by ILECO I and organized by PHILRECA, in partnership with PECASEO and The Lineman Academy, the three-day training aimed to strengthen lineworkers’ safety awareness, technical skills, and emergency response capabilities through lectures, practical exercises, and hands-on rescue demonstrations.
The training covered essential skills, including First Aid, Basic Life Support, Ropemanship, Pole Top Rescue Horizontal and Vertical Arm Assembly, and Return Demonstrations—preparing participants to respond more effectively to emergencies and high-risk situations in the field.
More than a skills enhancement activity, this initiative underscores the importance of continuous learning, teamwork, and a strong culture of safety among electric cooperative lineworkers.
Because every safe and reliable delivery of electricity begins with the people who work tirelessly to keep our communities energized. Their safety is our priority, and their skills are vital to the service we provide to our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs).
